May Kwento Ako No. 27 : A dear friend celebrates !

I believe that one’s birthday is a milestone to be celebrated.  Whether simply or to the hilt.

Here is a video clip that I created for a dear friend who celebrates her birthday in the month of November.  This contains photos of her exciting family and her dearest friends, most of which I took and have kept.  ( Let me give credit to the owners of the photos used that do not belong to me. )

Tita, may you continue to inspire many, to be a role model to more and to continue to spread the good energy that fine wines and champagnes, cava and prosecco bring.

Cheers and a happy birthday, TITA !!

May Kwento Ako #33 : Feeling Sentimental ATM

As I scrolled back through my iPad that’s loaded with photographs I had taken, I couldn’t help myself but reminisce at the years that had passed so swiftly. And I am so glad that I got to go to these awesome places and took these lovely photos when I had the chance to.

I am very thankful to all the people that are responsible for taking me to these places. And to those whom I met along the way. And there are plenty of you. Wherever you are, I hope and pray for your wellbeing and that of your families.

May Kwento Ako #32 : I believe in the magic of Color

The gift of sight to me is very precious. Now that I am growing older, my eyes aren’t too good unlike before. My late Mom used to remind me to always have sufficient lighting and to use proper lighting when reading. Your parents have probably reminded you of this before.

In recent years, I took on photography as a hobby. Snapping at pretty much everything like someone who didn’t have direction in life. Only to find out that as I progressed with this hobby, I was become more inclined with certain genre and I was tuning to myself bit by bit. I didn’t realize these immediately. Only recently.

I came to realize that lighting and shadows bring texture into a photograph. As it does to a family’s home which is further enhanced by the careful selection of wall color paints, luminous and luxurious fabrics and carefully selected pieces of art, sketches, photographs and furniture.

These days, the ultimate judge how well a home is put together, designed and laid out will always be the family who will stay in the home for the years to come.

I would not want to live the rest of my years in anything but in color and light. That’s just me.

So to cap this article, I always want to come home to a place that is clean, void of clutter, well loved, taken cared of and in color!

Salute! 🥂🍷🍻📸

May Kwento Ako #31 : This Photo cost me Euro 10! Expensive Lah!!

Gypsy King (1 of 1).jpg

One afternoon, while we were walking the busy streets, I saw this brightly dressed “young girl” with white makeup like that of a geisha except that she wasn’t Japanese.  I wanted to take her photo until she volunteered for the photo to be with me.  I asked my friend to take my photo with her.  Then, she posed with my friend.  As we said “grazie mille” to her, the pretty young girl acted not so pretty.  At this point, I knew it.  We’ve been had!

Then, I laughed and thought to myself ‘let bygones be bygones.  Live and let live.’

Another simple lesson learned.
